I spent most of the year working away on this series with a collection of bird and native foliage paintings that explored the juxtaposition of native and introduced species. The collection was exhibited at the Tauranga Garden and Art Festival and showcased in the publication the Papamoa Post.
It was an amazing experience meeting all the art fans in person and I was even able to give away a print to a lucky visitor who entered their details in the draw.
In this series I really enjoyed exploring the compositions of birds in flight and creative use of contrast and shape in the elements I composed.
Three of these current pieces can be viewed at the The Artists Window Gallery in the historic village between 10am - 3pm or the other pieces still remaining can be viewed or purchased from my home gallery.
