I worked on this piece after being fascinated by the intricate detailing on this native flower of New Zealand that is so often overlooked due to it's tiny nature. Bringing out the beauty in the unnoticed or taking time to stop and observe is the aim for the viewer of this piece. I also enjoyed playing with the depths and constrasts of the many details in this piece.
